RANDY’S RAMBLINGS.........

Isn't it exciting when what you have been preparing for finally occurs? When all of your plans come together and the event actually happens, there is a sense of accomplishment. Well, that's the feeling that comes around especially this time of year at High Hill Christian Camp and Retreat Center. We've been preparing all winter and spring for this summer's camp activities. And they begin in full swing later this month with the Kids' Retreat. Then next month, full weeks of camp begin and the camp will be bustling with youth and activities.

That's not to say that your camp is not already a busy place. We have had several retreats already this year and several improvements are either completed or underway. With all that in mind, let me share with you how you can partner with your camp to impact the lives of the hundreds of youth who will be here this summer.

HHCC needs your prayer support. Lift up the deans and their staffs as they prepare lessons and activities that will challenge young people with the truths of God's Word. Go to the camp's website and pick out a week of camp and adopt that dean and pray daily for him/her. Ask God to move in the lives of the young people in the churches of east central Missouri. Pray for those who cook and serve at camp throughout the summer.

HHCC needs your financial support. Camp tuition paid by the campers covers about half the cost of a student's time at camp. We rely on the generosity of area churches and individuals to make up the difference. Consider putting the camp in your personal budget and/or your church's budget with regular support. Your gifts will have eternal benefits as lives are changed.

HHCC needs your physical support. The improvements being made will make HHCC a better place for a better camping experience to take place. Consider sharing a day or two of your time and labor as we continue to enhance the facilities and make repairs. Work days will be scheduled throughout this month and even into the next.

HHCC needs your people support. Encourage your youth and the youth in your congregation to attend camp this summer. Untold thousands of church leaders have expressed their appreciation for the impact that Christian camping had on their lives. You may never know how many lives will be changed because you sent your youth to camp. When he/she grows into leadership in the local church, or enters the ministry or the mission field, you can know that you have had a part in reaching many lives with the gospel.

Thank you for considering the many ways you can help and may God's blessings be yours as we partner together to bring honor and glory to the King of kings and as we touch the lives of hundreds of youth this summer.
