Camp Trustees

The board of trustees for the camp sets the general direction of the camp. They meet in monthly meetings with the director to discuss and decide large issues of camp business. They are led by the camp director, but at the same time hold the director accountable. There are three pre-requisites for being a trustee. 1. Love God, 2. Love kids 3. Love camp. Other varying degrees and areas of skill are bonuses and will be put to use as God works through His people to assemble and re-assemble His team.

Dan Hogan

Community Christian Church, Linn, MO

In August of 2002 I became the Minister of the Community Christian church in Linn, MO. I had previously been the Associate Minister at the Clinton Church of Christ in Clinton, IA for the past 20 years. My main responsibilities were Youth and Christian Education.

During 18 of those years I was the Dean of Junior Wilderness at Rock River Christian Camp in Polo, IL. I just love camp. I was involved with Rock River as a Director on the Board, Chairman for a new pool and bathhouse, Chairman of the Board for 1 year and Chairman of the Faculty for several years.

I have been on several mission trips:

Mexico (5x) - building churches and a camp

Houston, TX (1x) - doing a VBS for inner city youth

Missouri (2x) - helping out at Shiloh

Oklahoma (3x) - helping out with work at Cookson Hills

Iowa (2x) - helping out at Peterson Children's Home.

I have been married to the same wonderful woman for 23 years, her name is Kathy. She is presently an instructor of math at Linn State Tech College. We have 3 children: Adam (19) going to be a sophomore at Ozark Christian College this fall, Amber (17) will be a junior and Krystin (12) will be in 7th grade.

We look forward to many years of service in the Linn area and I am excited about serving High Hill Christian Camp.
